The cutaway is stunning. I'm intrigued by the 455 BP, too. I never stopped to wonder if Pelikan made demos in their other-than-FP pens. Now I know!

oprices on the m200 demos have gone through the roof of late. I saw a clear 200 top close to $200 a week or so back. Thats just nuckin' futs!

That may be for one of the old out-of-stock colors. It's reasonable, they are now collection items.

But the new demos are still around the hundred.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Some of the older Pelikan demos are quite difficult to locate at albeit reasonable prices. I haven't picked up many of the recent M200 demo pens but you never can tell...

I agree. a 1000 series demonstrator would be nice.  I recently got one of the engraved clear M800s at a great price from Pam Braun.

I just got my green demo M200 yesterday. It has an F nib. I filled it immediately with Herbin's Lie de The, a light brown with a greenish tinge, and have been using it in my journal. So happy!

I got it from http://www.deutschepens.com. (No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.)
