Those of you who know me know I generally dislike MB's pens, service & generally everything about them.
Well the inevitable happened. I had a clients MB 342 on the bench for some nib smoothing & a general check up. I was surprized to say the very least when I inked it up and wrote with it. The 14K medium nib is rather flexible, it's a stiffer/firm flex but flexible none the less. The pen is a decent size I'm thinking in the Parker 51 size range.
I happened to have a little something up for sale he was interested in & we worked a trade.
So, yeah. I've joined the dark side & now own a MB again.... sigh.
I guess it's not so bad. From what I've been able to find, It's an entry level pen made in 1954-56, a well received pen & a nice writer. I think I'll let it stay a little while.
