I just found out one of my all time favorite bands (The Dropkick Murphys) are going to be playing very near me & tickets are only $25!! The show's not until November 18th though. The wait is going to KILL ME.

The place they are playing is called The Blue Note & is a pretty small venue so that means I'll be RIGHT there to see them. I've been a fan for years & have never had the chance to see them live. I'm so incredibly excited. Venus couldn't have gotten me a better birthday present if I'd picked it out myself. If only you could see the grin on my face right now.

This just made my year! DAMN I love my wife!

They are an irish band based out of Boston. Their influences are irish 'workin' man' folk, punk & rock. They arent 'thrash' music, but they can get a little fast sometimes. The lyrics are very inspiring. Lots of bagpipes too...lol

if you search in youtube for the dropkick murphys you can find a lot of videos.

Their newest one State of massachussets (sp) is in serious running for the MTV song of the year & is powerful stuff.
