"A very nice example of a Parker Duofold in the wonderful blue pearl celluloid.
This is the larger version, the Senior, with the blue diamond in the clip to signify that it was covered by Parker's lifetime warranty.
This version also sports the wide cap band with vvvwww cap design. No brassing or imprint on the cap band. No personal engravings on cap or barrel either! Pocket clip is a bit dull but should polish up like new with a rouge cloth.
This particular pen is graced with a nice historical touch. The crisp barrel engraving dates the pen to the third quarter of 1945 (5.) and the 14 karat gold Parker nib is the classic Victory nib which unsubtly pointed to the victory of the Allies over Germany in May of 1945, only a few months before this nib was fashioned! And just check out the wondeful tramlines in a V shape on the nib, which has I think a medium point.
Told you there was a nice historical touch to this pen and a conversational piece which would interest even non-pen collectors!
The Duofold is in NM but unrestored condition so will no doubt need a new diaphragm to get it going. I can have one fitted for you by a restorer before sending it out for a very modest cost."

Looks to be a very clean larger model, has the less commonly encountered chevron nib, crisp imprint. Looks like a solid win to me. $30 +/- to get it restored if you dont do the work yourself that is. (is it a button filling duofold or a vac filler?)

Vac filler and I had the seller do the restoration - $35. Just didn't want to have to deal with it.

A very nice pen it is. I have one the same colour and I absolutely love it. Mine is not the diamond clip and has two thin cap bands and a metal speedline plunger for the vac filler, made in 3rd qtr of 1941 (coincidentally just before the USA entered WWII and yours is at the end of the war!)
I personally think the blue Duofold is nicer than the red striped one that everyone seems to rave about.
Great buy. Well done!
