Just added an NOS Sheaffer Prelude Copper with Gold Trim ballpoint (USA) to the fountain pen version in my collection this week. Had to pose them together for a couple of clicks. I was lucky to grab the last one offered by Speerbob on the 'Bay. I picked up the Medium nib FP a few years back from Ron Zorn at Main Street Pens, and the nib is great! He said he didn't do much to it, but it's still a smooth and nice flowing pen.

This Prelude writes well enough to be one of my favorites, even with the odd section finger grip. I use black USA-era Skrip from the bottle, for most of the time. The finish does show finger prints on both pens, however. That's the ONLY downside to either the FP or BP!

My shirt came to me, wrapped up all in black, something funny told me, I'd have to send it back.
Although I couldn't make it fit, I knew I'd have to try. Now I'm telling all of you, I will never buy....
One of my first FP's was a brushed chrome Prelude set. I've owned & gifted a dozen or so over the years. They are great writers, have a nice weight & with regular use/cleaning are all but problem free pens. They make great daily workhorse pens.
