I now have four of these pencils in two distinct styles. One says "Japan" on the clip, and another says "Import" on the top of the knob. The clips on all four are identical in design. Does anyone know who made these things?

Style 1: This one appears to have once had a gold wash on it.

Style 2: no signs of plating, but note the different end cap and the "PEACE" theme. The opposite side is marked as a ruler.

Another Style 2: also marked as a rule on the back.

Another Style 1.

 

Anyone?

I have one that has "B&B Pat. Pend." on the top. B&B is Brown and Bigelow, makers of the Redipoint.
