I have been able to find nothing at all about this fat blue plastic 0.5 mm pencil; does anyone know anything about it? It's 5-1/2 inches long and more than 1/2 inch diameter at the widest part. Marked "Pentel - 0.5 Pencil - A525 Japan" on the back of the (non-removable) cap, and "VOL-5" in an oval cartouche just below the clip. No sleeve, and the visible metal tip is fixed, so this is a pocket pencil rather than a drafting pencil. I'd be curious to know when it was made; guessing 1980s.
