A clear demonstrator Konrad in aromatic (sounds nicer than "stinky") "celluloid derivative" (vegetal resin) flex-nib pen came to me about an hour ago. Having watched Stephen BRE Brown's videos about his trials with the pen, I reset the nib and feed as he said worked best for him, filled the thing with Sailor Jentle Epinard (I *like* spinach), and it's working flawlessly so far, easily keeping up with the moderate flexing I've done. Both this pen and the Ahab give just enough line variation to my everyday handwriting to suit me, rather like a fine stub nib that changes orientation at will.

My one complaint is the poor execution of the cap: as Brown suggests, the threads inside the cap are in too far, and this allows the tip of the nib to strike the inside of the top of the cap if one isn't paying attention (he damaged his nib by overtightening the cap, one of the reasons I chose the demonstrator). Since the threaded end of the cap that accepts the clip and finial is hollow, I'm confident that I can ream the ID sufficiently to clear the nib, but for now I'm just being gentle with it.
