It would tickle the crap out of me if I were surprised with any pen for Christmas but I'm not holding my breath. The only person in my family to hunt vintage pens for me is my grandmother & those don't come around too often at all.
However, if someone in my family were to get me a pen I'd wish for my grail. A 1938 GF Wahl Coronet w/ a #9 adjustable nib & rose pyralin inserts but I wouldn't scoff at one with the black inserts either...lol. Short of that I'd also like a nice PFM in black w/ silver trim & a Broad CI, Stub or Oblique nib. There are a lot more on my wish list but these 2 will do for now.
Whats on your wish list?

Soon the tinsel will be hanging in the stores again. I thought I'd dig up this post from last year.
If someone decided they were going to give me a pen as a Christmas present, I'd like a Parker Duofold True Blue. There is some romance with the old 1920s version, but most are now badly discoloured, but I'd take one just the same.....or even one of the shiny new versions from 2007.
What's your pleasure?

If you can live with a burgundy PFM 2 there was one over on pentrace for just over a c-note. Looked like a good user pen & the price was right. $110 or 115 IIRC.
Ya' might consider taking a peek.

No cultural problem on my end. I'm comfortable with my "minority" status in the USA.
As much as I would like a PFM, I would like it most as a Hanukah gift, though. I'm not in a pen acquisition stage at the moment as I still have plenty I haven't either restored or are new and still un-inked! I overdid it, evidently.
If I were in an acquisition mode, your recent eBay group and the gold Parker 75 would have been on my list!

Not being religious in any way, I only ask this because i just don't know. How far in the minority 'bracket' is the Jewish faith? I'm sure that Christians & Catholics are most likely in the top slots here in the US, but where does the tribe rank?

Must be a nice problem to have...lol.

LOL well find the mode man!
Seems like the entire pen community is in the same mode right now. Sales are way down across the board. it's a rough time to be a pen dealer, but good for buyers.

Well, at best guess, there are about 5-6 million Jews in the United States. Total US population is around 300 million, I think. Jewish population in Israel is around 5-6 million.
World Jewish population is about 14-15 million. World population is some 4 billion?
There are a disproportionately high number of Jews in Congress and are Fountain Pen Collectors. Curious, I think.
Any way you do the math, Jews are a very small minority everywhere except the State of Israel.
