Apologies to all for my extended absence, especially to those of you who are waiting on pens from my end.
Where have I been?
Recovering from the heart attack I had on Christmas eve & the second one I had just over 2 weeks later.
The wife, kids and I have spent the past month staying with family so there would be someone there with me during the day. I'm moving pretty slow & am still pretty weak but I am feeling stronger every day.
I just got back to the house 2 days ago & judging from the full answering machine and overflowing email in box, there are some upset and concerned people out there. I want to reassure everyone that I'm still alive and havent flown the coop with their goodies. Give me a few days to get everything packed up and I'll have it in the mail as soon as humanly possible.
I hope everyone who has been efected by my absence will understand how truly sorry I am for having caused any worry or concern.

Yup, scared the hell out of me to say the least. I'm glad i'm still on my feet & moving. The rehab is going well & I hope to be back to full speed in the next 4-6 weeks or so. I'm going crazy not being able to spend time on my work bench.

How old are you Dennis? I am 34, and am afraid that I am starting to have heart problems as well. What have you done to strengthen your heart or what have the doctors done for you.
"What have you done to strengthen your heart or what have the doctors done for you."
Well my sadist Dr. and even more sadistic wife took away everything that makes life worth living & put me on the diet from hell...My cigars & cigs, the true loves of my life bacon, sasuage & bratwurst...lol, just to name a few. Yeah I know they were bad for me but man I miss 'em. I'm eating a lot of fish, poultry, fruits & veggies.
I've been doing a lot of walking & light workouts. It's been tough, but I'm better than I was before the double whammy.
Mind you, I spent 70 plus hours a week sitting here at the PC or workbench, schmokin' & eating everything I shouldn't have. Zero exercize, really bad diet & a sedintary lifestyle was the (not so) secret recipe for a double barrel chest crusher.
If you have had ANY warning signs get to the Dr. & get checked out.
On a side note & semi related subject. It's nasty & SUPREMELY unpleasnt, but if you haven't had your prostate checked out yet, it's time.

My father was diagnosed with heart problems at age 39. He was instructed to lose weight, and start living like an old man. He did not like that idea - he took up SCUBA diving. At 43 he took up Judo. He reached 5th degree Black Belt (go-dan) before he died at 79 (congestive heart failure). He just refused to accept dying.
There is a lot of hope. Get better!
