I'm with PeterParker51 on this one. The only thing I know about Star Trek is the character names Spock, Scotty and Captain Kirk......that's it..oh, and their ship was called Enterprise. I know nothing else about it.
How about some Star Wars ink names:
Vader Black Darth Maul Red Yoda Lime Chewbacca Bronze
just for starters . Maybe to put into a pen called the "Obi-51 Kenobe"
Anyone got any ideas for others?

Ok this must be a generational/culture gap. I was a kid in the 80's & STNG, the series that takes place 200 years post Capt. Kirk & the original series (1960's).
The story lines & special effects were cutting edge at the time. Today, they look almost laughable compared to the CGI etc used in modern shows.
Star Wars huh.
I have to warn you I am a HUGE..no check that...MONOLITHIC Star wars fan.
Ok SW colors..deep breath...and go!
Skywalker blue Leia Pearl(a) (la perla..lol) Solo black Wookie pecan C3po Gold R2D2 blue Vader Black Imperial Guard red The emperors Dark heart (purple/black) Falcon white (dirty off white color) Star Destroyer Grey Ewok walnut x wing orange x wing red x wing blue x wing green Calmarian salmon hutt beige fett green sandcrwaler rusty red landspeeder brown greedo green twyllic blue twyllic green max rebo blue sunny sy snoodles (off yellow) Tatooine milk (creamy blue) taun taun grey hoth white
hyperspace purple (vivid bright colors) hyperspace blue hyperspace green hyperspace red
cloud city pink (pastel's) cloud city lavender cloud city blue cloud city green
Actually, 99% of my star wars knowledge comes from reading the books. IIRC, theer are close to 70 or so in the series.
ALL KINDS of wild stuff happens. Han & Leia get married, have kids. Luke hits the dark side of the street for a while. Comes back to his senses. Starts a jedi temple. Chewbacca dies (I cried). and oh so much more..lol.
If you like good sci fi. look for the star wars books. I see them in ebay all of the time. A google search will bring up the complete list.
Dennis

My home-made, liquid-cooled, UV reactive PC is loaded with Star Trek stuff, has been since @ 1999 when I'd built my first PC. My monitor looks like the screens/monitors on various Star ships, mostly the Enterprise-class. I use the LCARS as a base and add the sounds later from the sounds database, and this Website I'd Linked to was the primary source for many. When you get to the Homepage, once you skip the intro go to the Download Gallery for many of what I use on all my hand-built PCs.
The idea of making a bunch of inks based on the series is really cool, would love to see that happen.
Oh, one more thing, some of the Links may now be broken seeing as this database has been around for a very long time, even under different names in the past years-gone-by. I have some files dating back nearly 10 years, so if there's something missing [like fonts/sounds/so on] and you're interested, let me know and maybe I can zip them up and e-mail them to you. This is one of my favorites, a Star Trek themed Screen Saver made using Vector graphics, possibly the coolest Screen saver I've ever seen!
For those that are interested, System 47 is our galaxy, or the Milky Way, when looking at the sector maps from the Star Trek series. I don't usually use Screen savers these days, not since LCD screens no longer suffer from the "burn-in" as did the old CRTs, but this is fun to have running when company comes over and changes with so many things to see it takes a long time to see it all. I find myself seeing something I'd missed nearly each time I stare at it, and after using it for nearly 8 years that's saying something!
Enjoy!

Very cool, glad it's working for you! I've been using it since version 2.0, it's like version 2.2 now. Haven't tried it on dual monitors yet, been awhile since having two hooked up at once for me.

My pleasure, Dennis. Just hearing you're enjoying this has lit up my day, put a big smile on my face! I love sharing my loves with good people, especially the things I like too. It's awesome to find out we here have so many common interests, makes being here that much more fun.

Since my desktop machine failed awhile back, I've been using my laptop with a bigger monitor plugged in as primary, and an external keyboard and mouse. The screen saver displays different things on each monitor as though they were different displays on the console.

Now that I did not know, that they'd display different parts of the program on different monitors. Now I must see this for myself, totally awesome to hear! Thanks!

What's wrong with you desktop Mike? May embarrass myself here, :) But I am a computer teacher (and tech)!

You took the words right out of my mouth, Frank, although I'm not teaching IT or PC tech I do build my own and a few for close friends. I was wondering the same thing but was trying to do 10 things at once today. I too build computers, mostly my own like this liquid-cooled one that I'd built in 2006 [an oldie but an Uber-goodie!] and I am using it right now...
I was wondering what's wrong with his Desktop unit too, was going to ask if I could help out in any way. Between the two of us we should be able to guide him through whatever needs fixing/replacing, no worries!

Just a corrupted OS, but I've been too otherwise-occupied (and can't find my effing XP install CD) to do anything about it. I may turn the thing into a Linux box eventually, but I'm currently using its two drives as externals to the laptop, so ...
