I'm a re born FP enthusiast who has been concentrating on user grade and every day carry and use pens. My only "high end" pen (for me) is a gold filled Sheaffer 777 such as my father carried every day while he was working in the corporate world. My mom kept everything but I'll be darned if I can find "his" pen, so I bought a twin.

I'm a full-time fountain pen user for around a year now (which my friends learn the hard way when they try handing me ballpoints to jot things down for them) and a Parker Flighter collector, though I've begun expanding to metal pens of other brands, Sheaffer in particular. This doesn't stop me from using TWSBIs, "51" Vacs, and Ahabs as daily writers though. I carry a Parker 45 frankenFlighter and a Platinum Riviere (lending pen) wherever I go.
I was led to this forum by the recommendation of Isabelita Reyes, while helping in my search for reference material for a research paper about filling systems. I'm usually a reader rather than a poster, though I have a habit of engaging in ink discussions, another of my passions. I look forward to reading and learaning more about pens.
Cheerio!

Oh Grandma, what shiny pens you have! All the better to write to you my dear.
Howdy, Frank! I'm a 59 year-old pen collector that has a problem with a Chinese made pen. Perhaps you can steer me to the best forum site to get a response about getting replacement fountain pen nibs for a Picasso pen. I cannot connect to the site listed in their warranty booklet.
Thank you for the welcome. I look forward to getting to know more about fountain pens and their avid collectors.
I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and am currently studying at Duquesne University to be a paralegal. I own a few fountain pens, which I began collecting a couple years ago. Besides being the oldest student in my paralegal classes, I'm likely the only one--since the school was founded in 1984--who uses a fountain pen while taking notes. My fellow students may think I'm weird, but hey, it's OK to be a non-comformist in some things!

Hello Everyone, I'm new to this board and thought I'd briefly introduce myself. I'm a middle aged man living in Kansas City, MO who began enjoying FP's a year ago when a friend gave me several pens. I'd always thought that I'd likely enjoy them, but little did I know how much. Since then a cavalcade of new and used pens has crossed my threshold. Â I'm interested in many kinds, but have begun to narrow my focus a bit. Â It's been a lot of fun trying pens from all over the world. I look forward to hearing the experiences of others and sharing my own. Best to all, Glenn
