Tales of my demise have been moderately overstated...lol. Howdy to one all. I've missed you and this place.....hell pens and the community in general.
I see there was a 'sighting' of me earlier, it must have been one of my kids playing in the arcade.
I'm sure a few of you want to know whats been going on with me of late. My health is doing a LOT better. It seems the place I was living in, in Jefferson City was covered in toxic mold. We're lucky in an odd sort of way that my copd came on when it did. I was sort of the 'canary in the mine' for the family/house and no one else got seriously sick. we've moved to my home town in Osage Beach and are living in a cute little place right next to the home where i grew up where my mom, dad & oldest son live. The past couple of months have been spent getting settled in and finally getting to know each other. Honestly he's here more than home. Drives nana crazy. lol. I was dreading the move but it turns out to be one of the best things to have happened for me. I have a new doc & hes got me on less than 1/4 of the meds I was on before. I have a new med for the bipolar bit that is simply amazing. Mentally, I haven't felt like this in 20 years. The diabetes is undercontrol & behaving like it should. The heart is strong but I still get winded at the slightest exertion & go into 20 minute hacking fits that really & truly suck. The one thing thats bothering both myself and the doc is this very strange nausea that hits me pretty regularly. I've got that semi under control with meds as well but it's a daily PITA to deal with. My hand strength is slowly coming back and am hoping to get my for sale case back in the pen community.
So thats pretty much it, the kids are going to my old jr & high school, The children of 2 of my old teachers are teaching them, the 10 yr old son is playing football this year & going to rampage through the other teams. Daughter 12 is twilight-tarded and has dreams of going on Americas Got Talent, but refuses to believe you have to actually HAVE a talent to get on TV...lol.
If anyone wants to say howdy, the best way to get me is through my vintagedelights01@gmail.com address.

G'day Dennis. Welcome back, Mate. It's good to hear that things are starting to look 'up' for you. I look forward to reading some more posts from you in the near future.
Gerard.

Glad to learn Dennis is feeling better. Sometimes a change of "atmosphere" can be almost as helpful as the change in doctors, meds, etc. I always liked Osage Beach for touristic getaways, though I imagine living there full time must be a little less than exciting. On the other hand, Jeff City wasn't Gotham by any stretch of imagination either.
