Wonder what sort of membership drive we can get going....hmm

How about this. It'll be up to the community to get new folks here.

I'll start a post/poll in New Members.

Refer someone to the site, get them to register and place a minimum of 5 posts somewhere throughout the site (please try to get them to keep the 'oh neat' & 'how pretty' posts to a minimum) posts of some substance would be great.

Then after they have their 5 post minimum they come to the new members post and 'nominate/vote for' who referred them. I'll add that persons name to the poll and voting continues until the polls/post closes on Halloween night. the person with the most votes gets a sweet prize.

** The Prize **

From my personal collection & one of my favorite pens (that's the sort of sacrifice I'll make for this place...lol) I'll donate my beautiful Libelle Autumn Leaves Fountain pen with a smooth Broad Steel nib. Converter included.

But I did manage to find a pic of the RB at Isellpens.com (if you don't shop there your missing out) with a much better shot of the color. Mine is right between the 2 pic colors.




The pen is in very good plus condition and has a great balance. It's a superb writer that I'm sure anyone will enjoy.

what cha'll think? From my way of looking at it. This contest will not only get the community involved, but get all of out site numbers up at the same time.

Frank if your up for this shoot me a PM. I can send the pen your way to play with until the contest closes then you can send it off to the lucky winner. Sound like a plan.

I'm not sure I follow.

Our members get folks to register and then the newly registered member must post at least 5 times before they 'vote/tell us who referred them here'.

so pretty much they way it would play out.

Say i get a friend to register, ok membership up by 1, good. Now my friend has to post 5 times somewhere on the site. (post count now +5) Then he go's to the (yet to be created) post regarding the contest and posts that I got him here. Then the admin (me of Frank) will go into the post poll and add my name to the list of referring members. (then the next person I refer simply has to click the vote for DWL/Dennis button.)

Same situation if PeterParker51, Jack or anyone else (heck even the newly registered if they can get folks here as well)
