FS: Atlas Lamp/Dip Pen Desk Set

The usual rules apply, the first I want it sent to me at vintagedelights01@gmail.com gets to take it home.

Shipping is at cost. I'll need your location for an exact quote.

This little beauty stands about 9" tall x 8" wide x 6" deep. The base and shade are both a brown tortoise shell color & I THINK it's Bakelite, but don't hold me to that. There is no damage to it of any kind. There is some rust on the metal arms that hold the shade, but that will clean off fairly easily with an SOS pad or other rust remover. I didn't muck with it, I'll leave that to the new owner.

There are 2 tray slots for pens to rest on the base as well as 2 dip pen sockets. I don't know what pens were made to go with this beauty, but The Sheaffer fineline dip pens fit it perfectly. I have 1 with a smooth as silk #341 steel fine nib that I'll include to get you started. The raised circle in the center back of the base is for a glass inkwell. It's obviously missing. (I'd personally keep an eye on doc nibs posts to find an inkwell to fit)

It will need a new power cord before it can be used, but rewiring a socket is quite literally 2 screws, bend the wire around the screw and done.

The only information on the lamp is on the bottom stating it was made by the Atlas Appliance Corp, Brooklyn NY.

I ran through a couple of search engines but couldn't come up with any info on the manufacturer.

$40.00 plus shipping takes it home.
