Once I asked Ron Leuschen of Little Hen Knives to make me a folder. Ron forges all his metalwork and also hand differentially tempers his blades in the traditional manner. He also makes his own Damascus for decoration and bolsters.

Follow along with the process.

Here are the basic rough cut hand forged pieces.

I'm nearly speechless. I would do anything up to and including deviant sexual favors for that knife. My god that's amazing man.

Really works well to. Been using it for about a decade now and it still is a dream.

Ron also made me a Camp Knife.

Glad you like it. I think it's stunning myself and even better, it works. Cleared lots of brush, chopped firewood, even opened a can or three.

Your Camp Knife beats the heck out of my Frisk-Design Magnum Camp Knife...

[not my picture, don't recall where I'd borrowed this from but the same knife]...
