I scored a Conklin Nozac in an ebay auction a few eeeks ago. The day it landed here i sent it off unrestored to a well known dealer/collector along with an uncataloged Parker thrift time fp/mp combo. He declined saying they were too rough and the Conklin was 100% frozen and probably couldnt be repaired.
Frozen my ass. True it was very tight, but with a couple trips through the ultra sonic cleaner & a fast sacrifice to the pen repair voodoo gods & it was freed up in no time at all. I pulled the old piston head. replaced the packing/gaskets, straightened the bent nose and reassembled. It's filling like it should and writing like a champ.
Pics & straight to the sales boards tomorrow.
I love proving those guys wrong....
