Yes, Venezia has some magic. Unfortunately it is packed with tourist too.

I can help with the masks, no problem! But I think I'll be in Venezia not earlier than the end of January when the "Carnevale" routine starts again. Currently I am kind of busy with the 2 months old new kid and an increasing workload.

But let's take a look on this site:

You can have an idea of the prices and I believe they ship internationally too.
Check both "Theatre" and "Venetian life", they have awesome stuff!

If your friend is into masks this site will be like ebay for me...

For Several years I was an Officer of the Krewe, a board member with responsibility for the Bal Masque seating.  

We had a black tie Ball about a month before Mardi Gras day and our parade rolled the third Sunday before as well.
