As in subject line, a beautiful 1995 "Old Style" M800 & accessories For Sale.
I REALLY hate to part with it, but such is life.
Also posted on "that other place", this is the most recent edit/edition, if someone here is interested please PM me or e-mail me at inkafx@gmail.com.
TFPC members please take an extra 10% off, with FREE shipping within CONUS.
International buyers considered but I'll need to look into added cost applied to buyer total.
Thanks.

I'm trying to sell this pen & accessories elsewhere for $375.
TFPC member price; to be 10% off, or $337.50 shipped within CONUS.

FREE Shipping CONUS;
...adding glass travel/sample bottle [@ 1/8oz] of Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black ink to get you started.

New Pics; taken this morning!

I took pen apart again, it's been awhile since I did maintenance and I want whoever buys it to get a freshly cleaned/lubricated pen.
Here's a nice shot of how this "Old Style" M800 looks when taken down to its' components...
InParts02.jpgFullPen01.jpg

Barrel transparency is perfect, not a sign of ambering nor discoloring, it absolutely glows...
BarrelTransparency.jpgBarrelTransparency02.jpg

Cap band, showing PELIKAN - GERMANY, clean/sharp imprint, mostly scratch-free [maybe a few under magnification], good strong gold plating with NO brassing...
CapBand01.jpgCapBand02.jpg

"Old Style" cap top [metal engraved logo] and bottom [filler knob with beautiful gold disk]...
OldStyleLogo.jpgCapTop01.jpgFillKnobButtonGold.jpgTopBottom02.jpg

Cap threads/internal, in perfect condition, cap threads on tight and posts firmly [no posting rings, notta!]; also see how the barrel threads actually look now [as I'd mentioned I'd chased same and cleaned them up long ago]...

What you get:
1995 "Old Style" M800 Blue/Black fountain pen in really fine shape [cleaned fully and properly lubricated], vintage clam-shell case in excellent condition and great for travel [holds up to 3 writing instruments], outer paper sleeve for case, starter/travel bottle of Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black ink...
M800Set01.jpgPenClamshell03.jpg

Last but not least, adding a writing sample as I've seen people ask for one, here it is in my own hand written just a few hours ago...
M800FineWS.jpg

This really is a sweet pen and exceptionally clean considering it's almost 15 years old and has been used/carried as a daily writer.
The clam-shell case alone is a rare find, it's near perfect and made prior to the Berlin wall coming down; either use it to carry your pen/s or put it away as a collectible since they are getting very hard to come by, nearly impossible in this great a condition.
The filling system works smoothly and flawlessly, always has yet it's now freshly maintained and better than ever, no ink behind the piston head as found in some used M800s, freshly lubed parts with pure silicone grease, it's almost like getting a new pen!
Someone should be very happy with this pen, I have been and selling only because I now longer write with it.

Best wishes and thanks for looking,

Scott [aka "InkaFX"]

Wow Inka, those are some seriously great pics (I like the outdoor pics with the live oak in the reflection). I almost don't want to say good luck with the sale so you can hang on to it. if I had the scratch I'd snap it up.

Thanks, B; I do get lucky with my pocket camera on occasion.
The outdoor pics always turn out better, despite using a low-light camera.
Leave it to someone that knows Florida to recognize the reflections in the gold are of Live Oak trees! smile.gif
That's the draw-back to fully automatic shutter and aperture, can't adjust for DOF or anything else.
If I don't get any takers over the weekend I may just hang onto it, it's only going to go up in value.

Price drop;
How about $302.25 shipped/insured, 7% discount below the "other place" listing.
This deep discount is for TFPC members only
, not listed at this price anywhere else and I don't plan to.
I have gotten some seriously insulting low-ball offers elsewhere [you know where], it's NOT going to happen!
Should have done this days ago, sorry, already dropped price at the "other" place to $325 and this is lower still.
"Old Style" pen & accessories shown, already well-packed in U.S.P.S. Priority Mail box and ready to be shipped out tomorrow!
The "PF" marked nib alone I've seen sell NOS for over $150, this one has no "babies-bottom", excellent flow, tines perfectly aligned, a nice bit of spring, posting pics of same now...

This is a crazy good deal on this pen. I REALLY want it but just dont have the scratch for it right now. I release the savage pen line in 2 weeks. After a sale or 2, if you still have it then. I'll take it.

Thanks, Dennis!
wink

If things keep going as they've been, with many in a financial bind, chances are good it will still be here for you 2 weeks from now.
I'm not going to do another price drop at "the other place", no way, been getting too many ignorant PMs over there with ridiculous offers that wouldn't even cover the value of the nib and shipping, then they cop an attitude when I turn them down!
One person wrote me a multi-hundred character "essay" on why they thought paying a premium for cosmetic differences didn't make sense, after I'd refused their low-ball offer [as if that would make me change my mind, just got me overtly angry that such people exist that must think I'm stupid!], acted as if there was no added value to my pen due to its' rarity and top-notch condition, went on to claim other stupid things as well but that was the proverbial tip-o'-the-iceberg.

I have my Pain Management appointment up in JAX tomorrow AM and my Rx meds due to be refilled tomorrow as well. Docs' office did a "mandatory" piss test on me last visit, I point-blank told them I could not pay, no insurance, have been borrowing money just to pay visits and for Rx.
I was told I wouldn't be billed for it and they billed me for it anyway [over $400 for stinkin' urinalysis is beyond ridiculous, they say it's the law due to too many people abusing Rx meds out there. Thanks for nothing, junkies, and the DEA!!!!!!
The visit alone went up to $110 a month, my meds costing me close to $200 a month, dealing with eviction notices and borrowed as much as I can from who I could I'm indebted beyond reason.

Honestly, if I could afford to I'd give this pen a good new home, to someone I know would really take care of an appreciate it.
Such is life, at least for now.
