Tray 1 Flat Tops - Left to right:

These are all celluloid models from the mid 1920's up to the early 1930's. Most have had the worn out 'spoon' style nibs replaced with vintage Sheaffer school pen steel nibs and are all superb writers

First generation flat tops have no cap band or 'groove' 2nd gen has the groove. Both first and second gen have Z style clips. 3rd are slightly shorter with cap bands and 'prong' style clips.

1/2) NOS flat top pen/pencil set. This 2nd generation set is 100% perfect and has never seen ink. 5 1/16" capped, 5/8" od cap, 6 1/2" posted. $50.00

3)First gen. brown/orange wood grain. Nickel trim. Fine/medium steel #304 Sheaffer nib. 5 7/16" capped, 5/8" od cap, 6 1/2" capped. $40

4)Dark Green wood grain 1st gen, Nickel trim. Fine/medium #304 Steel Sheaffer nib. 5 1/4" capped, 5/8" od cap, 6 1/2" capped. $40.00

5) Light Green wood grain 2nd generation. GP trim is worn but still looks ok. Steel Medium Sheaffer nib. 5 1/4" capped, 5/8" od cap, 6 3/8" capped. $40.00

6) Brown/Orange wood grain 2nd gen. Steel Fine Sheaffer nib. The gp trim is mostly worn off. 5 1/4" caped, 5/8" od cap, 6 11/16" posted. $40.00

7) Mottled Green & white 2nd gen. Worn gp trim. Medium steel Sheaffer nib. 5 1/16/" capped, just a hair over 9/16" od cap, 6 3/8" posted. This one has the tiniest bit of discoloration under the cap lip. $40.00

8) Coral/orange 3rd gen. gp trim is slightly worn but still looks good. The nib is a fine/medium steel Wearever nib and clear c-flo feed from the early 1940's Plating worn off of the nib. 5" capped, 9/16" od cap, 6 5/16" posted. $50.00 because of the color rarity.

9) Blue & white wood grain 3rd generation. Steel medium Sheaffer nib. 4 7/8" caped, 9/16" od cap, 6 1/4" posted. $40.00

10) The oddball of the group. This is a 2nd/3rd gen cross over (so to speak) in the 3rd largest size.Has a 2nd gen clip but 3rd gen cap band & b size. Blue on blue mottled, (blue coral?) I wanted to try something different so I installed a medium/fine glass nib. Writes like a wet dream. 4 13/16" capped, 1/2" od cap, 6 1/8" posted. $40.00

11) This is one of my all time favorites & a very uncommon pen to boot. Brown/orange wood grain, Stubby ring top first generation flat top. Nickel trim, fine/medium steel #304 Sheaffer nb. 4" capped, 5/8" od cap, 5 3/16" posted. $40.00
