Wearever identity

Sorry but I cannot post a picture at this time but hope to test the knowledge of some members.

I recently picked up a number of Wearever lever fill fountain pens, solid colour plastic barrels and caps (mismatched colours - red/black, light green/dark green etc.) with white metal clips, wide band on cap and steel nibs. Capped - 14cm, posted - 16cm with screw cap. Tried one out and was surprised at the quality of the flow considering the apparent inexpensive original cost. The only markings that they carry are "Wearever" vertically on the clip.

From the above description does anyone have an idea what model these might be and their period of production.

Thanks,

Roger

Take a look through the pinned pics of my wearever collection. I'll be you'll find them there. From what your describing they sound like the Supreme models from the mid/late 60's. They were originally less than a buck IIRC. Try each one, you'll often find a very nice stubbish/italic line hiding in those 'cheap' steel nibs.

Thats a pretty sweet deal man. You cant beat a buck a piece.

FWIW, these make decent starter pens for those who are just getting into the hobby.
