I have 3 inks I find boring (and that's really just me, some people might like them, which is valid): Pelikan brown, Pelikan royal blue, and Lamy green. I've improved the green by adding some Waterman black to it. I do this in limited batches. I tried the same thing on the Pelikan inks and they're still boring. Maybe someone here has done something with these inks that I could try? I feel like dumping them in the sink but it seems like such a waste.
You should be able to darken the blue with some more black ink. I'm glad you were able to shade the green to your liking! The brown may be a saturating type color, which means you will probably no be able to change it. I have found that to be true with PR Chocolat. I like the color, but I have tried to vary the shade/color on some experiments!

I'll try more black with the blue. It's just that right now, it looks like a blah version of a good blue-black. :p I might try adding green to the blue to see how that looks. The Pelikan brown is just a weird shade -- like maybe close to a chestnut brown. Oh well. Back to my mixing bottles.
Since that post ages ago, I've given away most of the inks I wasn't happy with and acquired others including Diamine, Noodler's, Pilot Iroshizuku, Rohrer & Klinger, and Stipula. :) I'm into variations on olive green.
