What ink does your Varsity disposible like?

I tried refilling a Pilot Varsity Disposible with some Noodler's Hunter Green ink.  Performance is awful.  Don't really know if it's the ink or my refill job, but I was wondering what inks anyone else had tried in Varsities and what kind of success were you having.

Montblanc blue-black and Hunt Panache Exceptionally Red. I think the less saturated inks work better in these wick-type feeds.

Where does one get Hunt ink? I've not seen it.

I don't think this one's in production anymore; I bought it at a local craft store along with some other pen-related stuff they were closing out a couple of years ago. I have to say, it's very well-named!
