Sorry for the long delay between newsletters. It took me weeks just to find my keyboard underneath all of the snow here in the Northeast!
Conklin has really caught everyone's attention these past couple of months, with the introduction of the Duragraph http://www.hisnibs.com/duragraph.htm and the All American http://www.hisnibs.com/all_american.htm series. I can't tell you how many times I've re-ordered both, and it seems that we're constantly in flux as to what's in stock and what we're waiting to be delivered.
Well, Conklin isn't letting the moss grow under their feet. I have a new series to introduce -- the Heritage Collection http://www.hisnibs.com/heritage.htm -- but I almost feel bad about mentioning them. Why? Because they're limited editions and probably already sold out as you read this! Read more, further on in the newsletter.
As I mentioned in the last newsletter, Conklin has retired the Endura model as it makes room for the new Duragraph http://www.hisnibs.com/duragraph.htm, All American http://www.hisnibs.com/all_american.htm and now Heritage http://www.hisnibs.com/heritage.htm collections. As I write this, I have one -- and one only -- Conklin Endura http://www.hisnibs.com/endura_2.htm left -- so it's first come, only one served. It's the gorgeous Black/White version.
On the Monteverde front, a couple of models have a slight price increase coming on April 1st -- and that's not an April Fool's Joke. So, it you'd like to order a Prima http://www.hisnibs.com/prima.htm or an Intima http://www.hisnibs.com/intima.htm, please do so before then.
Also, a number of Monteverde models have been retired to make room for new models, such as the Catalina http://www.hisnibs.com/catalina.htm, Napa http://www.hisnibs.com/napa.htm, Jewelria http://www.hisnibs.com/jewelria.htm and a few others that I don't normally stock.
Additionally, the following colors of the Artista Crystal http://www.hisnibs.com/Artista_Crystal.htm have been discontinued: Lime Green, Orange, Purple and Yellow.
So, please visit each model's page to see what I have left (often only one remaining at this point) and if any are of interest, act now!
As this newsletter goes out to a mailing list of thousands of customers, please understand if there's a delay in answering your email queries or orders after one of these is sent. We will respond in order received and as soon as possible!

"Norman, thanks for the HisNibs newsletter. My Conklin Yellowstone drives like a Bentley Flying Spur--smooth ride, easy on the corners, and looks good parked at STARBUCKS. Less expensive, too, and better mileage. I told my friend, Joe, that the Yellowstone looks like a psychedelic poster from Haight-Ashbury in the 60s. Looks as cool as it drives. Thanks for the care you take in prepping the nibs and for your quick response and delivery. I'm a HisNibs and Conklin fan now. D. C., Riverside, CA
"Norman, order received. The All American writes smoothly and is a pleasure to hold." K. D.
Conklin has another hit with the new, oversized All American series. Measuring 5-5/8" capped, 6-1/2" posted and 5" with cap held aside, these pleasingly plump pens compare quite closely in size with the Montblanc 149.
Conklin outdid themselves with their selection of resins for these pens. Each is really outstanding, especially in person -- and each individual pen is unique in appearance.

"Hi Norman, I got the parcel on Friday, thank you. The pens (MV Intima http://www.hisnibs.com/intima.htm and Conklin Endura) are wonderful. MV really outdid themselves aesthetics-wise with this one. The Conklin's size is simply perfect. Most pens have a nib section that's slightly too small for my taste but this one's just right. It's becoming my favourite pen. Cheers from snowy Ottawa." D. P-A, Ottawa, Canada
"Hi Norman, the order arrived yesterday. Many thanks for the quick shipping and excellent service. The Conklin Endura 2 writes beautifully - the F nib being a true fine and is very smooth and fairly wet, just like I like them. The pen is quite a looker too! I think these newer Conklins are one of the better pens out there and are much under rated. All 4 that I have (5 nibs - got a spare stub) are superb writers and very well made pens. Thanks!" M. W., Newberry, SC
"Dear Norman, It is a very good feeling for me to write down memo on the paper. It is a long time for me to feel the taste of nib again. Thanks for your fantastic choice (M nib). I appreciate your recommendation. The ink flow is EXCELLENT (with Waterman intense black) and the heft balance is FANTASTIC!" S. K., South Korea
